At Grace, we believe that celebration is at the heart of the way of Christ. For he entered the world on a high note of jubilation (Luke 2:10) and he left giving his joy to his followers (John 15:11). Therefore, it is our sincere desire to give ourselves (body, mind, and spirit) to the worship of God and the celebration of life: All of who we are before all of who He is. This does not mean that we do not at times struggle or pretend that we don’t hurt. We are human and pain is as much a part of life as pleasure. But we are convinced that life is simply too short and too sacred to always be long faced and stressed out. Therefore, we seek to provide an atmosphere in which people are able to encounter God and are free to respond to His touch. For some that may mean sitting, standing, kneeling, raising, or even clapping their hands. Some will evidence deep emotion, while others will show no outward manifestation at all. Whatever the case, we believe that God deserves our best and calls for worship that involves our whole being (body mind & spirit).
